Very nice pics. I have the one with the swans saved as wallpaper on my desktop.

By the way, congrats on the new job!

Dear? Well, first off, thanks for the compliment and the congratulations.

Now, is it bad etiquette to then correct the nice person that they don't know a duck from a swan?? :-P~~~~

The pictures are fantastic. Is this area close to where you and Murray reside?

Do tell about the new job...does it make you happy?

texasgal,
The funny thing is, it's usually only geese that you see the massive amounts of droppings with, not ducks or swans. Either way, there's a $175 fee if you get caught feeding any type of bird around that lake and probably a lot of other lakes.

How about instead of a present, we all just send you money ahead of time so that you can fly home for the holidays??? :)

amelia,
Yeah, the park is just about a 5-minute car ride from our home. It's fairly nice there. Though, some people in town say it's run-down looking. The thing I like best there, besides the two bridges, is the path that indicates how far you've walked written on it. Makes you feel like you've accomplished something.

As for the job, I don't actually start until Monday, but I'm definitely happy to finally have a full-time gig that's paying well. And the people seem pretty nice there.

Sorry about that, I was only trying to be nice. I'll be sure not to let that happen again:P~~~~~~

Anyway, Ed said that the big white ones with the bump on their heads are geese. So, I guess we were both wrong.:P~~~~~~

Damn! Oh well, guess Ed's right, unless someone else comes along and corrects him too...lol.

Yeah, you don't want to be nice too often. It would ruin your reputation :-P~~~~

I would love to come home for Christmas but I heard through the grapevine that the tickets are $500 a pc. We only paid $500 total for the 2 of us to visit back on labor day.

Maybe next year. You never no maybe I will hit the lotto and be home sooner than then think
